May 13 – North Mississippi Road Warriors, New Orleans, LA

The Kings will open their season at home for the second consecutive season against a new GDFL franchise. The Kings will look to show better than last year’s 32-28 loss.

May 20 – Arkansas Nightmare, West Memphis, AR

The Kings will journey 6 hours and 401 miles north to tangle with another GDFL newcomer. This trip marks the Kings first ever contest in Arkansas.

June 3 – Starkville Steeldogs, New Orleans, LA

After an early bye week, the Kings will play their second home game of the season against the Starkville Steeldogs. The Steeldogs will be the third nubile franchise on the Kings first half schedule.

June 17 – Lee County Tiger-Cats, Tupelo, MS

After a second bye week, the Kings will travel to north Mississippi for a heated contest with the Tiger-cats. The Tiger-cats exploded on the Kings and the rest of the GDFL scene in 2016 and will be looking to match their season sweep of the Kings.

June 24 – Alabama Sabers, New Orleans, LA

Despite the name change, the Kings and Sabers know each other well. Formally named, the Marvel City Tiger, the Sabers possess the talent and coaching to be a major regular season match-up. This game could be a defining moment for the 2017 Kings.

July 8 – Tampa Bay Warriors, Tampa Bay, FL

With the Fourth of July holiday in the rearview, the Kings will march south to central Florida for a four-quarter battle with the Tampa Bay Warriors. The Kings will need to overcome the long road trip as the final games of the season could be pivotal for playoff positioning.

July 15 – Lee County Tiger-Cats, New Orleans, LA

The Impact South division could be on the line when the Tiger-Cats and Kings collide for the second time in 2017. Either team can be looking for breathing room or the clinching win, in the division title chase, when they meet in late July. Luckily, the Kings will be at home.

July 22 – Starkville Steeldogs, Starkville, MS

The final match-up of the year will send the Kings to Starkville, Mississippi. Depending on earlier season results the Kings could be either fine tuning for the playoffs or looking for a much-needed win.
